    1. Create a list of obstacles
    2. Next, to each obstacle write ways to beat the obstacle
    3. Revise your goals
    4. Get help if necessary
  2. When faced with a problem, explore alternative solutions.
  3. Remind yourself of Ralph Waldo Emerson’s quote that “Life is a journey, not a destination.”
  4. Create quiet time for yourself, to reflect, refresh and renew.
  5. Forgive yourself for mistakes. Try not to repeat them.
  6. Do not compare yourself to others. Each person’s journey is unique.
  7. Avoid wallowing in self-pity.
  8. Surround yourself with positive people.
  9. Avoid rehashing negative stories.
  10. Be honest with yourself
  11. Start with small risks then gradually increase.
